Each time traveler necklace is made from the shards of a fatally flawed ceramic work. They are processed in a rock tumbler for several days and polished like semi-precious stones resulting in a soft, matte, sea glass-like surface. The glaze is worn away in varying patterns like layers of sedimentary rock. The most interesting results are selected and collaged into small collections, so each necklace and its components are one of a kind. This process mimics and speeds up the slow erosion these shards would eventually undergo in nature over many years. It transforms contemporary materials into relics for display without the need to be lost to time and found again.
